Bergman Auto Craft now offers a bolt-in Brake Upgrade Kit for popular Mopar muscle cars. It’s based on OE parts, so it fits without modification, and it improves braking power and efficiency while making your ride safer.
What’s in the Brake Upgrade Kit
- High-performance Carbon Kevlar lined pads and shoes
- A set of 3 brake hoses with PTFE lining and a stainless-braided exterior
- High-performance DOT 4 brake fluid
Why each part matters
Carbon Kevlar friction material offers excellent stopping power, heat management and long life. Meanwhile, the PTFE-lined, stainless-braided hoses expand far less than old rubber hoses under pressure. As a result, braking is more efficient and pedal effort is lower, with a firmer, more consistent pedal.
Finally, DOT 4 fluid has a higher boiling point than standard DOT 3, so it resists boiling during hard stops. In today’s fast-paced traffic, improved braking is cheap insurance.
Ordering your Brake Upgrade Kit
Brake setups vary a lot on these cars. Therefore, please specify your vehicle type, axle type, brake configuration and shoe size (if you know it) at checkout. A technician will be in touch if necessary to make sure we supply the correct parts.
After installation, bleed the whole system with the new fluid. Then bed in the new pads and shoes with a series of moderate stops before any hard driving. Also, check the hose routing at full steering lock and full suspension travel.
Why upgrade the brakes on an otherwise stock car? Decades-old pad and shoe designs weren’t made for modern traffic. Also, original rubber hoses swell with age, which makes the pedal feel soft. So even if you never see a track, this kit gives you shorter, more confident stops and a firmer pedal. That’s a big safety gain for the money.
