BAC Steering Box Conversion Kit – Large Sector 73-82
Finally, a true 14:1 power steering box that features much better feel than OE boxes. Mopar Action and Street Legal TV has featured this kit.
Imagine, precise on-center steering without the typical wandering associated with Mopar original steering boxes. This kit is a direct bolt in for vehicles with power steering. Our custom coupler retains the safety plunge feature of the original. Retain your pressure and return hoses with the specific fittings provided in the kit. The box provided in this kit is the latest version featuring a one piece cast housing with integral bracketry. Available in both sector sizes to fit a large variety of Chrysler corporation vehicles. Many vehicles from 1973 and newer have pressure hoses with male box side fittings. If this is your situation, BAC carries the hose which you can purchase for an additional $40.00. If you order a large sector box, we’ll contact you to ensure the correct parts are supplied.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Large sector boxes were used on all C bodies and 73 and later A,B,E,F,M,J vehicles.
- Due to the higher operating pressures of the updated style steering box, a cooler is recommended*
- Vehicles with pressure hoses threaded directly into the steering box will need to purchase a pressure hose as well. Simply add a note in the checkout section and we will bill $40.00 separately for this part.
