This Level 1 chassis stiffening kit fits 67-75 A-body Dodges and Plymouths. Your Mopar has no full-length frame. Instead, the front frame rails and the rear rails stop short, so the floor pan has to carry the load between them. As a result, the body twists under hard launches and cornering. Frame connectors bridge that gap, while torque boxes reinforce the points where the suspension feeds force into the unibody. In fact, the factory added torque boxes to some of its highest-performance cars for exactly this reason.
What’s in this Level 1 chassis stiffening kit for 67-75 A-body cars
- Pair of CNC-cut frame connectors (set of 2)
- Front and rear torque boxes (set of 4)
The frame connectors are CNC-cut and engineered for strength, so they add stiffness without heavy, thick plate. Meanwhile, the four torque boxes spread the force at the front and rear suspension mounting points. Some pieces fit the factory locations, while others reinforce known weak spots.
A stiffer chassis lets the suspension do its job. Springs, sway bars and shocks all work better when the body stays square. So the car launches straighter, turns in sharper and feels more solid on the road. Also, buying the Level 1 chassis stiffening kit for 67-75 A-body cars saves you money over purchasing each piece separately.
Fitment
It fits the 1967 through 1975 Dodge and Plymouth A-bodies, including the Dart, Valiant, Duster, Barracuda, Demon and Dart Sport. Not sure which kit your car needs? Call us before you order and we will help you pick the right one.
Installation
These parts weld in. We recommend an experienced shop, with the car supported at ride height so the chassis is not twisted while welding. Before welding, remove undercoating and seam sealer at each weld area.
