Sway Bar – A Body Mopar – Front – 67-72

This A Body Front Sway Bar is a 1-1/4″ hollow bar for 1967-72 Mopar A-bodies. It’s a direct fit with or without factory sway bar tabs, and it’s the latest pro touring front sway bar from Hellwig, with additional tire clearance.

Why upgrade your A Body front sway bar

Many A-bodies came with a thin front bar, or none at all. As a result, the car leans hard in corners and feels slow to respond. A larger bar controls that roll, so the car stays flatter, the tires keep a better contact patch and the steering feels sharper.

Because this bar is hollow, it delivers big-bar stiffness while weighing less than a comparable solid bar. In addition, the extra tire clearance helps when you run wider front wheels and tires.

What’s included

• 1-1/4″ hollow front sway bar
• Factory-style K-frame mounting brackets
• End link tabs, in case your lower control arms don’t have them

If your lower control arms have no sway bar tabs, weld the included tabs in place first. Then mount the brackets to the K-frame and connect the end links. Also, check clearance at full lock and through the full range of suspension travel. If your car uses 1973 or later style lower control arms, give us a call first so we can confirm fitment.

Which front bar size should you choose? A 1-1/4″ hollow bar suits most street and pro touring builds with upgraded torsion bars.
