This Level 3 stiffening kit fits the 70-74 E-body Mopar Dodge Challenger. Level 3 is our most complete package. First, it ties the chassis together with frame connectors, torque boxes, inner fender braces and a core support brace. Then it makes room for serious rubber: a rear spring relocation kit moves the leaf springs inboard, and the mini tub kit adds up to 4″ of tire clearance per side. In other words, you get the stiffness and the tire size to put real power down.
What’s in this Level 3 chassis stiffening kit for the 70-74 E-body Mopar Dodge Challenger
- Pair of CNC-cut frame connectors (set of 2)
- Front and rear torque boxes (set of 4)
- Inner fender braces for the front (set of 2)
- Front lower core support frame brace
- Rear spring relocation kit (complete for both sides)
- Mini tub kit (adds up to 4″ of tire clearance per side)
The CNC-cut frame connectors and four torque boxes stiffen the middle of the car. Meanwhile, the inner fender braces and core support brace up front keep the nose from flexing. Out back, the spring relocation and mini tub parts open up room for much wider tires. So plan your wheel and tire package before installation, and the tubs and springs will end up where you need them.
A stiffer chassis lets the suspension do its job. Springs, sway bars and shocks all work better when the body stays square. So the car launches straighter, turns in sharper and feels more solid on the road. Also, buying the Level 3 chassis stiffening kit for the 70-74 E-body Mopar Dodge Challenger saves you money over purchasing each piece separately.
Fitment
It fits the 1970 through 1974 Dodge Challenger only. The Plymouth Barracuda and Cuda use a shorter wheelbase, so they have their own version of this kit. Not sure which kit your car needs? Call us before you order and we will help you pick the right one.
Early 1970 cars: please call before you order if your car is an early-built 1970. We have had reports of fitment issues around the torque box area on some of the earliest cars.
Installation
These parts weld in, and the mini tub and spring relocation work means cutting and rebuilding the rear wheelhouses. Therefore, this is a job for an experienced fabrication shop, with the car supported at ride height while welding.
